Common Prayer : Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records on the file of the third respondent in connection with the impugned order of rejection passed by him in Na.Ka.No.AA1/996/2023 dated 16.03.2023 and quash the same as illegal, arbitrary and consequently direct the 1 to 3 respondents to cancel the Patta issued to the 4th and 5th respondents to an extent of 7.5 cents in Survey No. 910/18 and 910/19 of Meesalur Village, Virudhunagar Taluk and District and thereby direct the respondents to issue free house site patta to the petitioners as well as other similarly placed homeless persons living under the below poverty line in the above said survey number or in any other suitable place.

qualified for such assignment.

3.The learned Special Government Pleader states that the land involved is a Government land, therefore, the petitioners are not entitled for assignment.

4.However, the learned counsel for the petitioners stated that necessary appeals would be filed before the competent authority. 5.In view of the same, these writ petitions stand dismissed, giving liberty to the petitioners to file appeal before the competent authority.
