PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to perform the "Adal Padal" cultural program on 04.06.2022 night at about 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm at Veerachilai Village, Arulmigu Sri Adaikalamkatha Ampaal Temple, Tirumayam Taluk, Pudukottai District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 21.05.2022.

This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to grant permission to perform the "Adal Padal" cultural program on 04.06.2022 night at about 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm at Veerachilai Village, Arulmigu Sri Adaikalamkatha Ampaal Temple, Tirumayam Taluk, Pudukottai District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 21.05.2022.

2.Today (02.06.2022) when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the writ petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.
