[Order of the Court was made by M.SATHYANARAYANAN, J.] The Writ petitioner is a resident of T.Alagarnayakkanpatti, Meenakshipuram, Uthamapalayam, Theni District and he claims to be an agriculturist and according to him, the office of Meenakshipuram Panchayat is situated in T.Alagarnayakkanpatti, for the past 50 1/3

years and housed in dilapidated building. Since, it become dangerous, a decision has been taken to demolish the same and put up a new construction and accordingly, the first respondent has also accord necessary financial approval for the construction of new Panchayat building at T.Alagarnayakkanpatti and however, there is a slow and tardy progress in completing the construction.

The learned Counsel appearing for the Writ petitioner would submit that the belated time for completing the construction is due to the pressure extracted by the fourth respondent, who wants the Panchayat building to be located at T.Meenakshipuram. Hence, the Writ petitioner is constrained to approach this Court by way of filing this Writ petition.

Heard the submissions of Mr.A.Balaji, learned Counsel appearing for the Writ petitioner, Mr.R.Murugan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent and Mr.V.Anand, learned Counsel appearing for the second respondent and he would submit that the construction of building is in midway and due to outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic virus, there is some difficulty in getting the help of construction workers and every endeavour will be taken to complete the construction within the scheduled time.

4. In the light of the above said submissions, no further orders are necessary in this Writ petition and therefore, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
