O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the Petitioner and his family members from the Respondent 3 to 6. 2.According to the petitioner, the third respondent is his brother and the respondents 4 to 6 are the sons of the third respondent. While so, due to property dispute between them, the respondents 3 to 6 caused life threat to the petitioner. Therefore, he has sent a representation to the respondent police on 04.04.2025, but no action was taken. Hence, this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner lodged a complaint, thereafter, he did not appear for enquiry. If the petitioner appears for enquiry, they will conduct enquiry and dispose the same within a period of 15 days.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this petition, this Court, without even issuing notice to the private 2/5

respondents, is inclined to pass orders.

5.According to the petitioner, he sent a representation against the respondents 3 to 6 before the second respondent for the life threat caused by them and the second respondent also admitted the receipt of the complaint. According to the 2nd respondent, the petitioner has not appeared for enquiry.

6.In view of the above, this Court hereby directs the petitioner to appear for enquiry on 25.04.2025, thereafter, the second respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner within a period of 15 days from the date of this order, after affording opportunities to both parties and in accordance with law. With the above observations and directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
