ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant permission to conduct Cock Fight to be held on 26.04.2025 and 27.04.2025 Saturday and Sunday in pursuance of the function to be conducted by Nethaji Porpadai and Pettaikkaran party and Madukkur East Union Sports Development at Anna Nagar Athivetti, Pattukkottai Taluk, Thanjavur District by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 25.03.2025.

According to the petitioner, he is one of the Organizer of function to be conducted by Nethaji Porpadai and Pettaikkaran party and Madukkur East Union Sports Development at Anna Nagar Athivetti, Pattukkottai Taluk, Thanjavur District. The villagers have decided to conduct Cock fight on 26.04.2025 and 27.04.2025 and in this regard, they have sent representation to the respondents on 25.03.2025 and the same was not considered. Hence, this petition. 2/5

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner, dated 25.03.2025 is under consideration and they will take appropriate action in accordance with law.

4.This Court had heard the learned counsels appearing on both sides and perused the materials available on record. 5.Considering the prayer sought for by the petitioner and the representation of the petitioner is pending with the 2nd respondent, it is for the 2nd respondent to consider the same in accordance with law. 6.In view of the above, this Court is hereby direct the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 25.03.2025 and dispose the same within a period of two days from the date of this order, in accordance with law.

7. With the above said observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
