Respondent This Writ Petition has been filed praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant patta for property in survey numbers 396/6A and 396/6B, Korampallam II Village, Thoothukudi to the extent of 21 3⁄4 cents supported by registered documents in documents numbers 1300 of 1944 and 245 of 1954, No II, Sub Registrar Office, Thoothukudi, by disposing of petitioner's application dated 20.11.2014 on merits according to law within stipulated time as fixed by this Court. ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition to direct the respondent and pass orders on his application dated 20.11.2014.

2. Mr.S.Bharathi, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent.

3. By consent, this Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice if the application of the petitioner is disposed of, by the respondent, on merits and in accordance with law, within the time stipulated by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent has no objection in considering the application of the petitioner.

6. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, the respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner, dated 20.11.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the interested parties, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
