Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to release the petitioner's Tractor along with Trailer bearing Registration No.TN-65-AV-2697, Engine No.S325.1J45523, Chassis No.MEA908A5EJ1188864, seized by the 3rd respondent police, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.08.2020 within a time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel on either side. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition has been filed seeking release of the petition mentioned vehicle.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader states the accused has been operating the vehicle by removing the number plate. Therefore, taking note of the conduct of the petitioner, I am of the view that the petitioner should rather move the Court below. The respondents are directed to produce the vehicle before the jurisdictional criminal Court without any delay. The petitioner can move the Court below for return of vehicle. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. The writ petition is dismissed. As and when, the petitioner files an https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
