Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents No.1 and 2 to grant permission for conducting 'Sri Kootha Perumal Ayyanar temple festival (horse festival) and the consequent drama programme on 30.07.2018, 31.07.2018 and 01.08.2018 at Aliyanilai, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District by considering the representation dated 10.07.2018.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission for conducting 'Sri Kootha Perumal Ayyanar temple festival (horse festival) and the consequent drama programme on 30.07.2018, 31.07.2018 and 01.08.2018 at Aliyanilai, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District by considering the representation dated 10.07.2018.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
3.According to the petitioner, he made a representation dated 10.07.2018 to the respondents. But, so far, no order has been passed on the said representation. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the aforesaid prayer.

submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if the representation of the petitioner dated 10.07.2018 is directed to be considered and an order to that effect would be passed, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that if any direction is granted by this Court with regard to the consideration of the petitioner's representation, the same shall be considered in accordance with law. 6.In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.07.2018 and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible preferably on or before 28.07.2018 on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to the parties concerned. 7.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
