ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) Challenging the impugned order of the respondent dated 13.06.2024, rejecting the petitioner's request for issuance of a community certificate, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition. 2.According to the petitioner, due to illiteracy, her parents did not obtain a community certificate. However, the petitioner has produced the certificate of her paternal uncle and other relatives. It is contended that the respondent, without considering the same, has rejected the petitioner's application.

3.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the Revenue Divisional Officer/Sub-Collector, 2/5

Tenkasi, is the competent authority to issue the community certificate. However, the petitioner has not impleaded the said authority as a party respondent in the present Writ Petition.

4.In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh application before the Revenue Divisional Officer/Sub-Collector, Tenkasi, along with all relevant documents and genealogy of the family. On receipt of such application, the Revenue Divisional Officer is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
