Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission with necessary police protection to conduct Adal Padal programme from 23.07.2018 and 25.07.2018 at Sri Kaliamman Mariamman Thirukovil, Kanmaipatti, Valayapatti Post, Sivakasi Taluk, Virudhunagar District, in consonance with "Pongal". ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission with necessary police protection to conduct Adal Padal programme from 23.07.2018 and 25.07.2018 at Sri Kaliamman Mariamman Thirukovil, Kanmaipatti, Valayapatti Post, Sivakasi Taluk, Virudhunagar District, in consonance with "Pongal". 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that Section 107 Cr.P.C proceedings is pending in the aforesaid Village. Therefore, the relief as prayed for in this Writ Petition may not be granted and there is a likelihood of law and order problem in the said village. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.In view of the above, at this stage, this Writ Petition is dismissed. However, it is made clear that this order will not stand in the way, if there is any possibility to resolve the dispute among the parties concerned. No costs.
