Respondents Prayer : Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to conduct Kumbabishegam of Sri Ponaandiyamman Thirukovil, Kalathur Village, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District, by inviting and permitting all the community members of Kalathur, Peerkalaikaadu and Vayalseripatti Villages including the petitioner's "Vallabar Community" to worship and participate in the Kumbabishegam.

O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2 and the learned counsel appearing for the organisers of the function.

2. The petitioner represents Vallambar community. They are aggrieved that they are being excluded in the Kumbabishegam that is proposed to be held on 10.06.2022. The petitioner's counsel raised very many issues.

3. I am afraid that it cannot be resolved in these writ proceedings. The petitioner will have to necessarily work out his rights elsewhere. All the contentions of the petitioner are left open. However, the organisers of the function agreed to receive donations from the petitioner and his community members by tomorrow itself. Receipt also will be given. The petitioner as well as the other members of the Vallambar community will be entitled to participate in the Kumbabishegam and offer their worship to the deity. All the other claims of the petitioner are left open.

4. With this liberty to the petitioner, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
