O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection for the petitioner's life threatened from the respondents 3 to 5 on the basis of the representation dated 23.05.2022. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that when the petitioner and his family members were doing agriculture work in the land in Survey Nos.21/6, 4/11A1, 4/8B and 21/2 situated at Piragudi Village, Viraganur Panchayat, Madurai South Taluk, Madurai, the respondents 3 to 5 were prevented the petitioner from doing agriculture work. Therefore, he gave a complaint on 21.05.2022 to take action against the respondents 3 to 5 and also to provide https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD) No.9733 of 2022 police protection, but the respondent police has not taken any action. Hence, the petitioner filed the present petition. 3.The learned Government Advocate(crl.side) submitted that after issuing summon, the parties have appeared before the respondent police and the complaint is kept pending for enquiry. 4.I have considered the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondents police. 5.Admittedly, the petitioner gave a complaint against the respondents 3 to 5. However, no action has been taken by the respondent Police. Hence, on 23.05.2022, the petitioner gave another representation to the police for taking action against the respondents 3 to 5 and to provide police protection. Under these circumstances, the second respondent police is hereby directed to conduct an enquiry in the matter and take necessary action in accordance with law.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
