(Order of the Court was made by J. NISHA BANU, J.) The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, restraining the respondents 1 to 3 from unlawfully cutting trees in the protected Alagarkovil Forest area near Pattanampatti, based on his representation dated 21.03.2025.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that pursuant to the interim order passed by this Court in W.P(MD)No.3633 of 2014, dated 22.08.2024, the Government has issued G.O in G.O(Ms)No.170, Environment, 2/5

Climate, Change and Forest (FR.4) Department, dated 09.10.2024. He further submitted that the respondents have acted in accordance with the said Government Order.

3.In view of the abovesaid submissions, we are not inclined to entertain this Writ Petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
