ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to perform the Kovil Kodai Festival from 11.05.2015 to 13.05.2015 in the eve of Parakiramapandiaperi Arulmighu Sri Mupudathi Amman Kovil Kodai Festival, Idaikal, Tenkasi Taluk, Tirunelveli District in the light of the petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2015.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that there are two rival groups and therefore, the petitioner may be directed to appear before the respondent No.2/Inspector of Police.

4. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the matter has been compromised.

5. Be that as it may, considering the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the petitioner is directed to appear before the second respondent-Inspector of police on 04.05.2015. It is open for the second respondent to call other parties, who are required and imposed any conditions to grant permission to conduct festival and the cultural programme.
