ORDER

The petitioner sought for service connection for the residential house put up in Government Poromboke Land. Subsequently, the application for service connection given to the authority. But so far, no order has been passed, hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2.The learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the petitioner is put up a house in Government Poromboke land and sought for service connection. As per Section 27(12)(1) of Tamil Nadu Electricity (Supply) Act, 1948, The petitioner should necessarily get a No Objection Certificate from the Tahsildar. Then only the service connection can be given.

3.In the above circumstances, the petitioner is directed to get No Objection Certificate from the Tahsildar and apply for the service connection along with the said certificate. After receiving the same, the respondents are directed to consider his application and pass orders granting service connection.

4.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
