ORDER

The petitioner is working as a Deputy Tahsildar. He has filed this writ petition, with a grievance that he is entitled for promotion as Tahsildar and his name ought to have been included in the panel for promotion to the post of Tahsildar prepared in the year 2019, however, his name has not been included in the panel, seeking a direction to the respondents to include his name in the panel for promotion to the post of Tahsildar for the year 2019, by considering his representation dated 19.12.2022.

2. When this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader, by referring to the proceedings dated 08.05.2023 of the District Collector, Virudhunagar, submits that at the relevant point of time, the petitioner was facing charges under Rule 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules and therefore, his name has not been included in the promotion panel and now, his name has been included by proceedings 08.05.2023. the proceedings is also placed before this Court.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader, this writ petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the proceedings dated 08.05.2023 in the manner known to law.
