This criminal original petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in P.R.C.No.77 of 2019 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Paramakudi.

Crl.O.P(MD)No.18095 of 2021 2.The defacto complainant/Kumaravalli and the victims namely, Indirani, Malar and Harindhar are present before this Court in person. They have been duly identified by Mr.Malaichamy, HC 258 attached to Paramakudi Taluk Police Station. The defacto complainant states that the occurrence arose out of a wordy quarrel and that no serious injury was caused. They do not want to pursue the complaint. The defacto complainant does not want to pursue the complaint. When the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement and the deafcto complainant does not want to pursue the complaint, no purpose will be served in keeping the prosecution alive. In the interest of justice, the impugned proceedings are quashed. The criminal original petition is allowed.
