Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents No. 2 to 4 to remove the wooden planks used on the flood gates of Eranthai Pond, Nanguneri Taluk and Tirunelveli Dsitrict and maintain the water level in its capacity and further directing the 2nd respondent tto compensate the loss incurred to the petitioner for the damage of full grown crops due to unlawful raise of water level by using water planks on the flood gates of Eranthai Pond.

The petitioner seeks for removal of some obstruction said to have been put up by some unknown persons on a public channel.

2. Heard both sides.

3.It is seen that ventilating such grievance he has made a representation dated 12.01.2015 to all the respondents. Therefore, it is for the respondents, more particularly, the respondents 4 and 6 to consider and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law.

4. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of only with the direction to the respondents 4 and 6 to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.Consequently, connected M.P(MD) No.1 of 2015 is closed.
