ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from discharging the drainage water into the properties belonging to the petitioner in Survey Nos.87/6, 86/9, 87/7A, 87/7C and 87/8A, situated at Thenur Village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District, based on the representation made by the petitioner on 21.06.2021.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, submitted that there is a PWD Canal/Culvert in Survey No.88, which is adjacent to the lands belonging to the petitioner. The learned Special Government Pleader further submitted that steps have been taken to ensure that the drainage water does not enter into the agricultural lands belonging to the petitioner.
