This contempt petition has been filed to initiate contempt proceedings against the respondent for his wilful disobedience of the order of this Court, dated 27.11.2019 made in Crl.O.P.(MD). No.17458 of 2019.

2. This Court, by an order dated 27.11.2019, in Crl.O.P.(MD). No.17458 of 2019, directed the respondent police to file a final report within a period of twelve weeks. Since the final report has not been filed within the time prescribed by this Court, the present contempt petition has been filed.

3.Today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) on instructions would submit that already the final report has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.2, Karur and the same has been taken cognizance in C.C.No.149 of 2020.
