O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd Respondent to provide adequate Police protection to the life and limb of the Petitioner and his family members from the 3rd Respondent and his henchmen.

2.According to the petitioner, he has received a life threat from the third respondent. Therefore, he sent a representation on 19.03.2025 but the same has not been considered. Hence, this petition. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that earlier, based on the complaint of the petitioner, a case in Cr.No. 495 of 2023 was registered against the third respondent. Thereafter, the same was closed as mistake of fact. Again, the petitioner has sent another representation and they have also assigned CSR No. 172 of 2025 and the same is pending for enquiry. They will conduct enquiry and dispose of the same within a period of 15 days.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this petition, this Court, without even issuing notice to the private respondent, is inclined to pass orders.

5.According to the petitioner, he has received life threat from the third respondent. Therefore, he approached the respondent police but no action has been taken. The second respondent has also admitted the receipt of the representation and the same is under enquiry. 6.In view of the above, this Court hereby directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and take appropriate action within a period of 15 days from the date of this order, after affording opportunity to both parties and in accordance with law. 7.With the above observations and direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
