Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent i.e., The Sub Collector, Cheranmahadevi, Tirunelveli District to issue the death certificate of the petitioners mother Tmt.Aavudaiyammal who died on 21.08.2022 based on the

recommendation from the first respondent i.e., The Tahsildar Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District as per his Letter No.e.f.M.7/5587/2025 dated 21.01.2025 and consequently direct the respondents to register the death f the petitioners mother within the period that may be stipulated by this Honourable Court and pass such other or further orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of this case and thus render justice.

ORDER

The present writ petition is filed for the following relief:- "Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent i.e., The Sub Collector, Cheranmahadevi, Tirunelveli District to issue the death certificate of the petitioners mother Tmt.Aavudaiyammal who died on 21.08.2022 based on the recommendation from the first respondent i.e., The Tahsildar Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District as per his Letter No.e.f.M.7/5587/2025 dated 21.01.2025 and consequently direct the respondents to register the death f the petitioners mother within the period that may be stipulated by this Honourable Court and pass such other or further orders as this Honble Court"

2. Heard M/s.P.Revathi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. When the matter came up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents would submit that the enquiry reveals and confirms the date of death of the petitioner's mother. Appropriate orders will be passed and the death will be recorded and thereafter, the appropriate certificate will be issued and uploaded.

4. In view thereof, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent to record the death of the petitioner's mother and issue death certificate to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order, without waiting for the certified copy of the order. No costs.
