: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records to call for the impugned order under reference Ka.No.Se.Po.Vi/Then/Varai/Co.Pet/A.No.1282/2014, dated 17.09.2014 passed by the first respondent and quash the same as illegal so far as the exorbitant estimated cost of Rs.1,07,640/- over and above the cost of scheme of Rs.50,000/- and consequently provide the electricity connection for irrigation purpose in the agricultural property bearing Iyan Puncha Survey No.50/7 at Vadiyur Village Surandai Sub-Division and Tenkasi Circle Tirunelveli District belonging to the petitioner forthwith. O R D E R

*********** As against the impugned order, dated 17.09.2014, passed by the first respondent, the petitioner has got an effective remedy of filing an appeal before the Superintending Engineer, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Tirunelveli, the second respondent herein. Therefore, the petitioner is permitted to file an appeal before the said authority, within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such appeal, the Superintending Engineer, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, will take the appeal on file and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording sufficient opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of appeal from the petitioner.

2. The Writ Petition is disposed of on the above terms. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
