ORDER:- Criminal Original Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.R.Maheswaran, Advocate for the Petitioners and of Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, Additional Public Prosecutor On Behalf of the Respondent, this Court made the following order:

This petition has been filed to extend the time granted in the order dated 15.03.2021 made in Crl.M.P(MD)No.2170 of 2021 in Crl.O.P (MD) No.2066 of 2021, on the file of this Court. 2.By order dated 02.07.2021 liberty has been granted to the petitioner to file a fresh petition seeking extension of time and on that ground this petition came to be filed.

3.Today, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that due to lockdown, the petitioner could not execute the sureties and surrender before the concerned Court within the stipulated time prescribed by this Court and hence seeks extension of time. 4.Considering the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, 15 days time is extended from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
