O R D E R

The writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to accord necessary permission and give police protection to conduct the Kabadi Tournament at Iniyanur Kulumaiamman Temple Ground, Trichy District, on 23.04.2023 and 24.04.2023 at about 08.00 am to 1.00 pm respectively on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 15.04.2023.

2. Mr.B.Nambiselvan, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has decided to conduct Kabadi Tournament, which is scheduled to be held at Iniyanur Kulumaiamman Temple Ground, Trichy District on 23.04.2023 and 24.04.2023 at about 8.00 A.M. To 1.00 p.m. Hence, he sought permission of the police by giving a representation dated 15.04.2023. But, the second respondent has not considered the said representation. Since no order was passed, the petitioner has come before 2/4

this Court for the above said relief.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit even though the programs are scheduled to be conducted for two days, it may be restricted to one day.

5. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), the restriction may be imposed by the competent authority upon the petitioner with regard to the days of programs. The above said competent authority shall dispose the above said representation given by the petitioner dated 15.04.2023 immediately by imposing the restriction of dates of programme.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
