O R D E R

This contempt petition is filed that the order of this Court in WP(MD). No. 17315 of 2023 and WMP (MD)No. 14502 of 2023, dated 18.07.2023 has not been complied with. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner claims that the revenue officials of Sivagangai District are attempting to lay 2/6

a road in the petitioner's patta land in S.No.142/14A, Karkalathur Group, Marudhavayal Village, Devakottai Taluk, Sivagangai District, in violation of the interim order granted by this Court in WMP (MD)No. 14502 of 2023 in WP(MD) No.17315 of 2023, dated 18.07.2023.

3.The Panchayat President of the Kiliyur Village and the Block Development Officer of the Devakottai Panchayat Union are present before this Court and submits that they are not having any inclination to lay a road in the petitioner's patta land and they have not laid any road as on date. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has also confirmed the same. 4.In reply, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondents have not laid any road in his patta land, however, they are attempting to do so and the same was prevented by this petitioner.

5.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader and the officers present before this Court that they are not having any proposal to lay a road and also the fact that they have not laid any road in the petitioner's patta land, this contempt petition is closed.
