This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents.1 and 4 to provide adequate police protection to the Petitioner's life and limb from the hands of the private respondents. 2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the sixth and seventh respondents are the father and mother of the petitioner and the eighth respondent is her husband. They are all harassing her. 2/5
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioner and the eighth respondent got married on 22.02.2024. Thereafter, she left her matrimonial house without informing her parents and husband. The petitioner's father has lodged a complaint before the fifth respondent to find out the whereabouts of his daughter, for which, an FIR in Crime No.236 of 2024 was registered. While so, she sent a representation to the respondent police on 25.04.2024 at 03.00 pm stating that without her consent, the said marriage was solemnized and also filed this petition on the same day itself.
4.In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that only to take revenge on the petitioner's parents and husband, she filed this petition and used this Court as a tool for that. This Court finds no merits in this Writ Petition and the same is dismissed with cost of Rs.5000/- to be paid by the petitioner to the credit of Kalaingar Library, Madurai. 30.04.2024 Internet :Yes Index :Yes/No NCC :Yes/No LR 3/5
