Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents. 2.The petitioner is running a girls hostel. It is having electricity service connection. The petitioner alleges that the meter is not functioning properly. According to him, there 1/3

appears to be some fault some where in the system. As a result, the petitioner is being levied with extra charges. According to the petitioner's counsel, the charges demanded in the recent times do not reflect his actual consumption. Therefore, the petitioner has given a representation dated 30.06.2020 in this regard. 3.Whenever a complaint of this nature is received, it is the duty of the third respondent to look into the same as per their norms and procedures. The third respondent is directed to enquire into the petitioner's complaint and take appropriate action. The third respondent will intimate the petitioner by a speaking order the results of his inspection and enquiry. If the petitioner is still aggrieved, it is always open to the petitioner to move the Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum.

It is headed by an officer holding the rank of Superintending Engineer. The third respondent is directed to conclude the entire exercise within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
