ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to act upon the representation made by the petitioner on 21.05.2021, wherein, the petitioner has requested for disbursing the bill amount for the works that have already been completed by the petitioner.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he had entered into a contract with the respondent Corporation for carrying on certain works as per the Work Orders dated 25.11.2019 and 06.10.2020. The further case of the petitioner is that the works were completed and inspite of the same, the bill amount was not settled. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation on 21.05.2021. Since the same was not acted upon, the present Writ Petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

3. Heard Mr.J.Anandkumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Murali, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent Corporation submitted that the eligible amount will be settled to the petitioner within the time frame fixed by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, there shall be a direction to the respondent to act upon the representation made by the petitioner on 21.05.2021 and the amount for which the petitioner is eligible, shall be settled within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.

7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
