2.Heard Mr.A.P.Dhas, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Veera Kathiraven, learned Senior Standing Counsel for Government, assisted by Mr.A.K.Manickam, learned Standing Counsel for Government appearing for the respondents. 3.The petitioner by way of this Public Interest Litigation, seeks for a direction upon the respondents to provide reservation to backward class Muslim at 5% instead of 3.5% for the people belonging to the Muslim religion in the state of Tamil Nadu. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD).No.11410 of 2021 4.The relief sought for cannot be granted in a proceedings under Article 226 of the constitution of India. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
