ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the proceedings in summons, issued by the second respondent, dated 27.06.2021.

2. By the summon dated 27.06.2021, a direction was issued by the second respondent to the petitioner to appear. When the matter taken up for heraing on 15.07.2021, for the purpose of exploring possibility of settlement, notice was ordered to the third respondent. Even though notice has been served, the third respondent did not appear.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he is ready for re-union. Due to the absence of the third respondent, this Court is not in a position to refer the matter to mediation.

4. But, however, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that since the matter has been pending before the second respondent, he is ready to appear before the Social Welfare Officer for the purpose of conciliation.

5. The second respondent is directed to refer the matter to the Social Welfare Department, Madurai, for the purpose of conciliation. The petitioner shall appear before the Social Welfare Department, Madurai on receipt of the notice of summons as the case may be.

6. With this direction, this petition stands disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
