ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to conduct cultural programme i.e., Villisai Katchery, Melam and Temple Poojas in the eve of Panguni Uthiram Festival at Sri Nambi Sastha Thirukovil Kalvoy, Thiruvaikuntam Taluk, Thoothukudi District scheduled to be held on 11.04.2025 based on petitioner's joint representation dated 26.03.2025 2/6

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the villagers decided to conduct festival Sri Nambi Sastha Thirukovil Kalvoy, Thiruvaikuntam Taluk, Thoothukudi District scheduled to be held on 11.04.2025 for the same they respondent police through representation dated 26.03.2025 but the same has not been considered.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that no any representation was received from the petitioner in respect of the above said temple festival and without sending any representation they have filed this petition. More over during the last year cultural program two First Information Reports have been registered, therefore strongly objected to grant permission.
4. Considering the prayer sought for in the petition and the receipt of the representation of the petitioner dated 26.03.2024 also denied by the official respondents , however today of the representation served to the third respondent through the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, therefore the third respondent can consider the representation of the 3/6
petitioner for conduct of cultural program by imposing conditions and to monitor the entire program. If any deviation then the third respondent can take appropriate action in accordance with law. The petitioner shall also ensure that no any song praising any particular community will be played during the cultural program.
5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
