The petitioner seeks grant of free patta or cost patta in his favour pertaining to SF.No.45/7 of Sengalakudi village, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukkottai District. The petitioner has made a representation on 16.11.2024 in this regard.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that even in a civil suit, the possession of the writ petitioner has been affirmed and even the appeal preferred against the said judgment and decree of trial Court in O.S.No.143 of 2011 also came to be dismissed, affirming the lawful entitlement of the petitioner.

4. Be that as it may, the petitioner has given a representation seeking patta on 16.11.2024. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's application for either grant of regular patta or cost patta, after hearing the petitioner in person and pass final orders, 2/4

within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
