O R D E R

The Writ Petition is directed against the notice dated 17.05.2021 issued by the second respondent and for direction to forbear the respondents from making further removal of trees in the writ petitioner's land in Survey Nos.281/2B and 283/2D, Mullipallam Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner would submit that though the respondents have paid Rs.10,45,000/- as compensation for the trees to the writ petitioner, the writ petitioner is entitled to get more compensation and hence, liberty may be given to the writ petitioner to take appropriate proceedings.

3. It is not in dispute that as per the impugned notice, trees were already removed and as such, nothing survives for further adjudication.

4. In the result, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. The writ petitioner is at liberty to take appropriate proceedings, if so advised. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs. 03.06.2024 NCC :Yes/No Index :Yes/No Internet : Yes/ No csm 3/4
