ORDER

This petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent herein to complete the investigation and file a final report within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Cr.No.24 of 2020 on the file of the first respondent. The case has been registered for the offence punishable under Sections 498(A), 294(b), 323 and 506(i) IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. The date of occurrence is stated to be 25.08.2020.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the investigation is completed and the final report is also made ready and the respondent Police is waiting for approval from the Director of Public Prosecution. Therefore, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor seeks one month time to file the final report.

4. Since the investigation is completed and the final report is also made ready, nothing survives for further direction. However, there shall be a direction to the respondent to file the final report before the concerned Court, within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After filing the final report, compliance report shall be sent to the Registry of this Court.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
