8. P. Anand : Respondents Prayer: The Civil Revision Petition is filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India to Expedite the hearing in disposed of R.C.O.P.No.35 of 2008 on the file of the learned House Rent Controller, Tiruchirappalli, within a time frame fixed by this court.

ORDER

The Civil Revision Petition is filed for a direction to the learned House Rent Controller, Tiruchirappalli, to dispose of RCOP.No.35 of 2008, within the stipulated period of time.

2. The revision petitioner is the landlord. The respondents are the tenants.

3. The revision petitioner filed RCOP.No.35 of 2008, on the file of the learned Rent Controller, Tiruchirappallil, seeking for eviction against the respondent and directing them to put the petitioner in possession of the building. RCOP filed in the year 2008 and the respondents filed a counter in the year 2008 itself. From the year 2008 onwards, even after granting several adjournments, without any progress, RCOP is pending for more than seven years.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Though the notice was served on the respondents and their names are also printed in the cause list, they have not chosen to appear either in person or through counsel.

5. Considering the fact that RCOP is pending from the year 2008 and having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and also considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on merits, this Court directs the learned Rent Controller, Tiruchirappalli, to dispose of RCOP.No.35 of 2008, as expeditiously as possible, in any event, not later than 31st August 2016.

6. Accordingly, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
