: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to grant mini bus transport permit to me to ply to the route Pallapatti to Kurumbapatti and Kurumbapatti to Pallapatty in the same time by considering the petitioner's representation dated 12.07.2018 in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court. ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to grant mini bus transport permit to him to ply to the route Pallapatti to Kurumbapatti and Kurumbapatti to Pallapatti in the same time, by considering his representation dated 12.07.2018 in accordance with law, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Mr.S.Dhayalan, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

4. The case of the petitioner is that he was granted mini bus permit to ply in the route Pallapatti to Kurumbapatti, vide R.No.25782/A2/2000, on 24.07.2000, pursuant to the representation made by him in the year 2000. However, due to certain difficulties to run the bus in the permit place, he surrendered the permit granted by the first respondent. Subsequently, the Tar road was laid and hence, he made a representation dated 12.07.2018 to the first respondent seeking transport permit to ply in the route Pallapatti to Kurumbapatti and Kurumbapatti to Pallapatti in the same time. Since no action is taken so far, the petitioner is before this Court with the present Writ Petition for the reliefs as stated above.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, a direction is issued to the first respondent, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.07.2018 and pass orders either to grant transport permit or to reject it, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
