The borrower, who is facing recovery proceedings under the SARFAESI Act, is before this Court, seeking a Mandamus directing the Presiding Officer, Debts Recovery Tribunal, Madurai, to dispose of S.A.No.110 of 2024 within the time frame.

2. The Debts Recovery Tribunal is a statutory body governed by its own procedures and powers. Unless and until there is an infraction of constitutional right, the High Court cannot exercise superintendent power conferred under Article 227 of the Constitution of India. The prayer sought for in the writ petition does not fall within the said category. Hence, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. (G.J.,J.)
