ORDER

The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to issue Natham Patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the property situated in Natham Survey No.1566/7, measuring an extent of 4.57 cents at R.C.North Street, Veeravanallur Town Panchayat, Tirunelveli District by considering his representation dated 24.11.2022.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Jeya Priya, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

3. According to the petitioner, the subject property has been in possession and enjoyment of Soosai Mudaliyar for several years. The petitioner purchased the property from the said Soosai Mudaliyar. However, the sale deed could not be registered as the revenue classification is Natham Sarkar Poramboke. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 24.11.2022 before the 1st respondent seeking issuance of patta. However, the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 24.11.2022 will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.11.2022 and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.

6. The writ petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
