Respondents This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to receive necessary payment from the petitioner for deposit amount for supply of electricity service connection to the petitioner's house at door No.1-1-178/4, Vinobaji Colony, Melachokkanathauram, Bodinayakanur Taluk, Theni District, within a reasonable time as may be fixed by this court. ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition directing the respondent herein to receive necessary payment and to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's house at door No.1-1-178/4, Vinobaji Colony, Melachokkanathauram, Bodinayakanur Taluk, Theni District.

2. According to the petitioner, though he made an application for electricity service connection, till date, no order has been passed by the respondent.

3. Per contra, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent would submit that no such application, as alleged by the petitioner has been received by the respondent.

4. To give quietus to this matter, the petitioner is directed to send a copy of the application along with a copy of this order to the respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the respondent is directed to consider the claim of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks, thereafter.
