O R D E R

The petitioner is before this Court seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the objection petition filed by the petitioner on 24.03.2026 in respect of any registration relating to the property in Survey No.1626/5B, situated at Meelavittan Village, Thoothukudi District.

2. Heard Mr. M.S. Senthil Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr. F. Deepak, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. The petitioner claims to be the owner of the property in Survey No.1626/5B, Meelavittan Village, Thoothukudi District, having purchased the same through a registered sale deed dated 11.10.1993. However, after such purchase, the petitioner's name was not mutated in the revenue records, as she was residing in Chennai. Therefore, she submitted an application before the Tahsildar concerned for mutation of her name in the revenue records.

During the pendency of the said application, the legal heirs of the petitioner's deceased vendor are allegedly attempting to alienate the subject property by taking advantage of the fact that the vendor's name continues to be reflected in the revenue records. In view of the same, the petitioner filed an objection before the second respondent requesting that no document relating to the subject property be registered. The petitioner's apprehension is that the said objection may not be considered.

5. Mr. F. Deepak, learned Special Government Pleader, submitted that the petitioner's apprehension is unfounded and that the objection filed by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law within the time frame to be stipulated by this Court. The said submission is taken on record.

6. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's objection petition dated 24.03.2026 on its own merits, in the event any document is 3/5

presented for registration in respect of the subject property.

7. There shall be no order as to costs.
