ORDER
(By G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) This contempt petition was filed alleging breach of the direction given in W.P.(MD)No.19665 of 2019 on 16.07.2021. 2.The petitioner complained that in the petition mentioned water body, there are encroachments. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the contemnor submits that the encroachment pointed out by the petitioner was removed on 29.08.2022. The encroacher had once again committed encroachment. This led to passing of an eviction order under Section 6 of the Land encroachment Act. This order has been put to challenge in W.P.(MD)No.8328 of 2025. The said writ petition is still pending but no interim stay has been granted. The Tahsildar, Karaikudi proposes to remove the encroachment by 18.03.2026. Since the earlier order passed by this court was already complied with, we are inclined to 2/4
close this contempt petition by recording the stand taken before us by the respondent. This contempt petition stands closed. (G.R.S. J.,) & (R.P. J.,) 17.03.2026 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No ias To:
