O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to expedite and complete the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner in ROC No.A1/118/2022 dated 23.02.2023 (TDP No.05/2022) pending on the file of the second respondent.

2.Heard Mr.S.Karthick Ramkumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Shaji Bino, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the disciplinary proceedings initiated against him have been pending since the year 2022 before the second respondent in TDP No.05/2022 and because of the pendency of the said proceedings, the interest of the petitioner are seriously prejudiced.

Mr.Shaji Bino, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the proceedings are pending before the second respondent and that, out of 18 witnesses, only 2 witnesses have been examined on 18.10.2023 and 02.01.2024, and the remaining 16 witnesses are yet to be examined. The next hearing date has been fixed as 12.05.2026. He further submitted that a minimum period of 12 weeks would be required to conclude the disciplinary proceedings in TDP No.05/2022.

In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the matter and taking into consideration the fact that the proceedings have been pending for more than four years and absolutely there is no justification for delay, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to conclude the

disciplinary proceedings as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 10.04.2026 Index :
