ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct respondents 1 to 4 to give adequate police protection to conduct the Varushabishekam Festival in Arulmigu Valamburi Vinayagar, Arulmigu Periyanagagi Amman and Arulmigu Singamuga Mariamman Thirukovil situated in Thalakkavur village, Sevappettai post, R.S.Mangalam Taluk, Ramanathapuram District scheduled to be held on 25.04.2025 and 26.04.2025 based on petitioner's representation dated.07.04.2025 2/5
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the people in the village decided to conduct Varushabishekam in Arulmigu Valamburi Vinayagar, Arulmigu Periyanagagi Amman and Arulmigu Singamuga Mariamman Thirukovil on 25.04.2025 and 26.04.2025 for that the petitioner has sent a representation dated 07.04.2025 but the same has not been considered, hence the present petition has been filed.
3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 3 would submit that there is no dispute in respect of conducting festival in the village and thereby police protection can be granted.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 2 and 4 would submit that for conduct of festival they will give police protection in accordance with law.
5. Considering the prayer sought for in this petition and the fact that the official respondents have no objection to grant police protection 3/5
this Court directs the fourth respondent to give adequate police protection in accordance with law.
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
