O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Fast Tack Court No.II, Madurai and in charge Fast Track Court No.I, Madurai (JM Level) for the speedy disposal of the criminal case in S.T.C.No. 559 of 2021.

2.According to the petitioner, he lodged a cheque complaint against the respondent and the same is pending in S.T.C.No. 559 of 2021. Initially the case was filed in the year 2009 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Madurai and the same was numbered in C.C.No.443 of 2009 and thereafter, the same was transferred to Sub Court, Rameshwaram and numbered as S.T.C.No.1574 of 2014 and again, it was transferred to learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Madurai and numbered as S.T.C.No.579 of 2015 and now, the case is pending before the Fast Track Court No.I, Madurai in S.T.C.No. 559 of 2021. Since the case is pending from the year 2009, the petitioner approached this Court for speedy disposal of the case.

3.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this petition, this Court, without even issuing notice to the private respondent, is inclined to pass order.

4.Since the case is pending from the year 2009 and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Fast Track Court No.II, Madurai, to dispose of the case in S.T.C.No.559 of 2021 within a period of six months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, without granting long adjournments beyond fifteen days.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
