The petitioner seeks issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to dispose of the application in Na.Ka.No.D3/20680/2022. 1/4

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondent.

3. The learned Government Advocate on instructions would submit that several opportunities were given to the petitioner to produce relevant documents. However, the petitioner has not submitted any documents and therefore, final orders have not been passed.

4. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner refutes the said submission of the learned Government Advocate, contends that even along with the application, all relevant documents were submitted and thereafter, the petitioner was not called upon to produce any further documents. The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the original application was made by the petitioner's father. However, during the interregnum period, he passed away.

5. Be that as it may be, the writ petition is only filed seeking expeditious disposal of the proceedings pending before the respondent. In view of the above, the petitioner shall file necessary memo before the respondent to substitute his name in the place of his deceased father, namely Durairaj within a 2/4

period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Thereafter, the respondent is directed to fix a date for enquiry to enable the petitioner to appear in person and furnish all relevant documents in support of his contentions / claims within a period of four (4) weeks therefrom and after conducting enquiry, final orders shall be passed within a period of eight (8) thereafter.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
