O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent not to interfere in the civil dispute between the petitioners and the third respondent.

2.According to the petitioners, there is a civil dispute pending between the petitioners and the third respondent in respect of the property in S.No.93/15, Puliyur Village, Srirangam Taluk, Trichy District. While so, the third respondent lodged a complaint against the petitioners based on the same, the second respondent called the petitioners by interfering with the civil dispute. Therefore, the petitioners sent the representation dated 08.04.2025, but the same has not been considered. Hence this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the third respondent for the encroachment made by the petitioners, they called them for enquiry. Apart from that no harassment was made as alleged in this petition. They will conduct the enquiry and dispose of the same, within a period of fifteen days.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this petition, this Court, without even issuing notice to the third respondent, is inclined to pass order.

5.According to the petitioners, the respondent police are harassing them by interfering with the civil dispute pending between the petitioners and the third respondent. The second respondent denied the said allegations and submitted that they called the petitioners for enquiry, based on the complaint lodged the third respondent. 6.Therefore, the second respondent is directed to conduct enquiry in this regard and dispose of the petitioners' representation, within a 3/5

period of fifteen days, from the date of this order, after affording opportunity to both the parties, in accordance with law. 7.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
