Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorari, to call for the records relating to the notification dated 04.03.2015 on the file of the respondent and quash the same, insofar as the post of two vacancies of vehicle driver is concerned. For Petitioner : No appearance For respondent : Mr.M.Saravanan

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.] The petitioner is a retired President of the District Consumer Dispute Redressel Forum. In this Writ Petition, he has challenged the employment notice issued by the Tamil University, Thanjavur, to fill up certain posts. According to the petitioner, as per G.O.Ms.No.50. Adi-Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, dated 29.04.2009, if the vacancies are two and more, the first post is to be filled up by General Turn; the second post should go to Arunthathiyar on preferential basis; the third post should go to the Most Backward Classes and denotified community; the fourth post should go to Backward Classes (Other than Backward class Muslim); the 5th post should go to General Turn; and the sixth post should go to Scheduled Caste.

But, these norms have not been applied, while calling for application to fill up the posts, as per the impugned notification, dated 04.03.2015. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.Admittedly, the petitioner is not a candidate, who is going to respond to the impugned notification. It is too well settled that in the matter of employment, Public Interest Litigation is not maintainable. If there is any one aggrieved by the notification, it is for him to challenge the same. The petitioner, who is not an aggrieved party, cannot challenge the impugned notification.

3.In view of the same, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are also dismissed.
