ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned proceedings of the second respondent in CSR No. 110/2024 (Action Dropped) dated 26.04.2024, in relation to the rejection of permission for performing Adal Padal scheduled to be held on 01.05.2024 and 02.05.2024 in Arulmigu Sri Kaliammal Kanthariamman Temple situated at Kuppanapuram, Kayathar, Thoothukudi District.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. Now, the election in Tamil Nadu is over. Therefore, the 2/5

petitioner shall renew his application before the Assistant Returning Officer, Thoothukudi. On receipt of such application, the Assistant Returning Officer shall consider the same.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. 30.04.2024 NCC : Yes / No.
