ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, seeking to modify the condition imposed on the petitioner that he has to stay at Virudhunagr and appear before the respondent Police daily at 10.00 a.m. until further orders while granting bail in 1/3

Crl.M.P.No.1246 of 2024, dated 15.04.2024, by the learned Principal District and Sessions Court, Virudhunagar District at Srivilliputhur.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the resident of Trichy and he is doing Ph.D., however, he has been implicated in the case in Crime No.41 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police only based on the confession statement of the co-accused. He further submits that the petitioner is facing life threat at the hands of the defacto complainant, who is residing at Virudhunagar. Therefore, the petitioner finds it difficult to appear before the respondent Police. Hence, this petition has been filed.

3. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the condition imposed on the petitioner in Crl.M.P.No.1246 of 2024, dated 15.04.2024, by the learned Principal District and Sessions Court, Virudhunagar District at Srivilliputhur, is hereby modified to the effect that "the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police as and when required for interrogation".
